AV Technician
Job Overview:
The AV Technician will work both independently and on a team to install and service a range of AV and home automation systems. The candidate will have extensive knowledge on AV systems and parts and be willing to stay up to date on evolving technologies. The technician must be well versed in AV and home automation systems, have strong communication skills and operate in a professional and organized manner. The successful candidate must be hard working, reliable and have a clean driving record.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Complete complex system installs, setup and calibration
- Knowledgeable in networking/data system design, install and setup
- Control system design (control/lighting/shading) and theater room installation
- Complete understanding of multi-room systems and setup
- Troubleshoot simple and complex electronic security, life safety and automation systems
- Able to support legacy and/or third-party products and systems
- Ensure high client satisfaction during the installation and service processes
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of related field experience
- Solid experience with projectors, screens, displays, wiring, cabling, computer controls, rack-building; the complete AV equipment package
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly detailed, organized and able to multitask
- Thrives on analyzing and solving problems
- Ability to excel in fast-paced environments
- Excellent skills with mobile computing
- Experience working onsite at customer’s home or business
- Knowledge of residential and commercial construction preferred
- Ability to work a rotating “on-call” service schedule
- Clean driving record and background check
